Cranberry Liqueur / Spiked Cranberries
This double duty home-infusion recipe crafts a tangy-sweet cranberry liqueur AND delicious spiked cranberry garnishes to give your Thanksgiving cocktails an added punch... pun intended! My Cranberry Liqueur recipe is the foundation for the Cranberry Champagne Cocktail (pg. 54) and the Spiked Cranberries adorn the Tiki Collins (pg. 115) as well as the crowd-pleasing Cranberry Sauce Punch (pg. 132).
Ingredients:
- 1 c. frozen cranberries
- Peel of 1 orange, without pith
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. vodka
- 1 c. orange liqueur
Direction:
- Place frozen cranberries, orange peel and sugar in a sterilized 1-quart Mason jar and macerate for 1/2 hour to release juices and dissolve sugar.
- Cover mixture with vodka and orange liqueur, seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 weeks and up to 1 month.
- Be sure to label bottle for easy identification.
